Kim is scheduled to show up in the news conference for a new action film, tentatively dubbed “Criminal Designer,” on Nov. 18.

In the action film, Kim will play Ji-hyuk, the leader of a group of tech-backed outlaws. His gang has only 40 minutes to rob 150 billion won ($140 million) from the safe of a state-run customhouse in the port city of Incheon.

“Criminal Designer” is the Korean heartthrob’s first acting job since December 2013, following the conclusion of SBS’s rom-com “The Heirs” that he co-starred with Lee Min-ho and Park Shin-hye.
