Actress Lee Yu-bi made cute faces to bring a bizarre plot twist in the latest episode of SBS’s hit drama “Pinocchio” Thursday.

In the sixth episode, Yoon Yu-rae, played by Lee, engages in an open competition with her rival applicant Choi In-ha to win a news reporter’s spot at a major television station.

Their mission is to discover the truth behind the mysterious death of a woman in her 50s who died in a gym workout.

Both applicants struggle to secure video footage from the surveillance camera installed at a local fitness gym. They are desperate to get the video file, because it is the only remaining evidence of the woman’s death. But the gym owner refuses to hand over the footage, fearing that the incident may give the gym a bad image.

Then Yu-rae comes up with a secret weapon that serious In-ha would never come up with: Making faces.

She makes a medley of cute faces to coax the stubborn gym owner.

When In-ha’s colleague urges her to do it too, she mutters timidly, “I cannot do things like that.”
