Super Junior’s Heechul was selected as the emcee of the Chinese TV entertainment program “To Have You on This Road,” according to his agency on Sunday.

“To Have You on This Road” is a real-travel variety program by a joint production between Korea and China. Heechul will have various experiences with three Chinese married entertainer couples who come to Korea and will communicate with them.

The singer filmed the program with the Chinese couples from Nov. 27 to 29.

“I always appreciated Chinese fans and I thought someday I should return their love not only with music but also in other ways as well. That’s why I accepted the role on the program. I hope this will be the first step of my future activities in China. Also, I wanted to hold a small fan meeting there and I think this is a good chance to achieve my goals,” Heechul said.

“In the program, I invite three married couples to a house and live there with them to test the affection between the husbands and the wives and also to show them Korean culture. Luckily, all three couples liked me from the first day of the filming, very much enjoying it,” he added.

“They even asked me to visit China with them since there is not such an odd boy like me (there). When the SM Entertainment crew heard this, they said that there is no boy like Heechul in Korea, either. And we all laughed,” the singer said.

“I tried to entertain the Chinese guests to make them happy even when the camera was off. And they said to the Korean staff that they were impressed by Korean entertainers and they have a lot to learn from us. Other Chinese couples will visit Korea several more times and I’m ready to enjoy working with them again.”

The upcoming show will first air on Chinese channel ZJS TV on Jan. 10, 2015.
