Actor Ji Sung and actress Hwang Jung-eum will star in the upcoming MBC drama “Kill Me, Heal Me,” it was confirmed Friday.

According to a spokesperson of the drama production firm, the two actors will reunite as a couple, a year after their first KBS2 drama series “Secret Love.”

Ji Sung will play the role of Cha Do-hyun, a doctor from a wealthy family who suffers from a multiple personality disorder due to a traumatic accident.

On the other hand, Hwang will play the role of Oh Ri-jin, a first-year resident psychiatrist. The character will be cast as intelligent, with an outgoing and playful personality.

The couple’s last drama, “Secret Love,” received wide popularity, hitting a 20 percent viewer share. Drama fans are wondering if the romantic chemistry of two actors will bring another success in the drama scene.

Originally, actor Lee Seung-gi and Lim Ji-yeon were chosen to play the part, but both decided to step down due to difficulties in schedule.

“Kill Me, Heal Me” is to start airing in January after “Mr. Baek.”
