K-pop boy group CNblue’s leader Jung Yong-hwa topped Gaon Weibo chart for three consecutive weeks, proving his popularity in China.

Gaon Weibo chart is co-published by Korean music chart Gaon and Chinese microblog platform Weibo. The ranking is determined by combined results of the Gaon chart rankings and the frequency of being searched on Weibo.

According to the Gaon Weibo’s data, the singer-actor topped its Weekly chart from Nov. 17 to 30.

Jung recorded 300,201 “reference points” on Weibo. He also recorded 106,794 “Re-Weibo” points and received 72,284 cyber-flowers from his fans on the website.

Earlier, the singer was recently chosen as a publicity model for a Korea-Chinese cooperative credit card company, thanks to his popularity and trustworthy image.

CNblue also has a firm grip on the Chinese entertainment scene. It was the only Korean artist to be invited to perform in the 2015 iQiyi Night Awards Ceremony in Beijing on Dec. 6. The boy group won “Asia Best Group” award on that day.

The boy band is scheduled to perform at the “FNC Kingdom” concert in Tokyo on Dec. 20, and Osaka on Dec. 27. Many K-pop artists under FNC Entertainment’s banner will participate in the concert.
