Bromance to heat up big screen

The domestic movie industry is likely to heat up as two films featuring perfect chemistry of two male leads are set to be released next month.

The movies, “Gangnam 1970” and “Criminal Designer” are to boast bromance between the two male actors, working as an eye-candy for many female viewers.

The upcoming noir film “Gangnam 1970” portrays the two men’s friendship and desire for money in Seoul’s Gangnam district in the 1970s, when the region began changing due to a boom in real estate investment. Actor Lee Min-ho and Kim Rae-won played the two men.

Lee plays the role of Jong-dae while Kim appears as Yong-ki. The two had met and grew up together in an orphanage and get involved in the lives of gangsters.

The two main characters are to show off masculinity and charismatic charms during the movie, making both domestic and international fans further expect its release. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on Jan.21.

Caper movie “Criminal Designer” is about a tech-savvy criminal gang which attempts to steal 150 billion won ($140 million) from Incheon Customs Agency within 40 minutes.

Actor Kim Woo-bin starred in the movie with actor Lee Hyun-woo. Kim plays the role of Ji-hyuk, a skilled safecracker and the leader of the gang, while Lee plays talented hacker Jong-bae, one of the main members of the group.

The two young actors are to boast playful and clever charms during the movie, adding fun and interest in the tech-based action film. The movie is to hit theaters on Christmas Eve.
