Park Hae-jin will not appear on the Chinese talent show “Xingguang dadao (Avenue of Stars),” his management company said Monday.

According to the management agency WM Entertainment, the model-actor will not be able to appear on the program’s Lunar New Year special due to a back injury sustained while shooting a Chinese drama.

“It is an honor to be invited to a leading Chinese program but Park Hae-jin will not be able attend due to injury,” the company said.

“Although (Park) cannot be there in person, it is still a huge honor. Park endeavors to reciprocate the support and love Chinese fans have given him.”

The program is one of the leading entertainment shows aired on CCTV, whose 2012 Lunar New Year special recorded ratings of 1.93 percent.
