TvN’s outdoor cooking reality show “Three Meals a Day” confirmed on Friday that actor Jang Keun-suk had left the program.

The 27-year-old became mired in a tax evasion scandal after a local media outlet reported on Tuesday that “Jang paid over 10 billion won ($9 million) in fines for tax evasion.”

The reality show’s new episode “Fishing Village” was scheduled to air on Friday night but was delayed to Jan. 23 as it needed to be reedited.

The production crew said that as many scenes as possible of the actor would be removed and he would not join the rest of the filming.

“Jang decided to leave the program in order not to damage the show. He feels sorry for the staff members and the celebrities he worked with,” said an official of Jang’s entertainment company.
