Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun initially turned down her role in the hit drama series “My Love from the Star,” a local cable TV show revealed in a program.

According to the show, Jun did not want to take the lead role in the drama, but she was convinced by fellow actor Kim Soo-hyun. The two had worked together for the 2012 film “The Thieves.”

It was not the first time she refused to play a central role in a local film. Previously, Jun decided to decline offers for two films, “The Fugitive: Plan B” starring Rain, and “My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox,” a movie that she later signed on with Shin Min-ah in the lead role.

Jun is currently shooting the film “Assassination” as a first-rate assassin trying to kill a member of a pro-Japanese party.
