Super Junior member Heechul made a heartwarming comment about the group’s former member Hankyung, also known as Hangeng in China, Chinese media reported Sunday.

According to reports, Heechul attributed his popularity in China to Hankyung during an interview on Chinese TV show.

“Chinese fans call me a princess and Hankyung a prince,” Heechul added.

The comment immediately went viral among Super Junior’s longstanding fans who have kept close tabs on the boys’ relationship with the former band member.

Hankyung has cemented his friendship with Heechul since their debut as part of K-pop boy band Super Junior in 2005.

The Chinese idol left the group in 2009 after filing for termination of his contract with SM Entertainment.

Since then, Hankyung has pursued activities mainly in China, starring in several Chinese flicks.
