“CNBLUE will play its popular songs live on the show and partake in an interview with the show’s host,” an official from Hunan TV said on Tuesday.

The Chinese broadcaster reportedly invited CNBLUE to the show after being impressed by the band’s performance during the 2014 Korean Music Wave in Beijing, a popular music show hosted by the South Korean broadcaster MBC. CNBLUE is said to be the only K-pop group scheduled to appear on “Chunwan” this month.

“Chunwan,” also known as the CCTV New Year’s Gala, is reportedly the most-watched TV show in the world. It is common for many Chinese families to tune in to the show on Lunar New Year’s eve, locals said. Last year’s edition of the show was watched by over 800 million Chinese viewers.
