Actress Shin Min-ah will return to the big screen with the upcoming romance movie “Love is a Virus,” industry sources said Friday.

She has reportedly confirmed that she will join the cast, and is working out the details of her contract.

The film is about a fatal “love virus” that can only be cured by falling in love. Shin will play a woman who has caught the virus opposite Lee Sun-kyun, who appears as a virus researcher.

Insiders said that Shin’s decision was clinched by the quality of the screenplay and the opportunity to co-star with Lee.

“Love is a Virus” is scheduled to begin filming in spring, with the aim of opening in theaters in the second half of this year.
