GOT7 member Youngjae shared his feelings about graduating from high school on Monday.

“It feels weird that I graduated from high school. I am excited and I feel like I am a grown-up now,” Youngjae said in an interview with local media outlet Star News.

The 18-year-old idol attended the Korea Art School’s graduation ceremony on Monday held at Seongdong Youth Center in northeastern Seoul.

Youngjae turned up in a neat school uniform, receiving an enthusiastic reception from his fans who gathered to celebrate his graduation.

Looking back on the first day he transferred to the school in Seoul, he thanked his friends who welcomed and approached him.

“When I moved to Seoul from Mokpo in October 2012, I was shy. But friends approached me first, so my school life became easier,” he said.

The vocalist was recently accepted to the department of theater at Seokyeong University in Seoul.

Asked about what he wants to do as a university student, the K-pop star said he wanted to learn new things and take on new challenges.

“I will focus on music. But I also want to learn acting skills to star in musicals,” he said.

As for his plans this year, he aims to listen to a lot of music, write a song every month and do some exercise.

Youngjae debuted in January 2013 as part of seven-member idol band GOT7 under JYP Entertainment.
