South Korean singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong nabbed the No. 2 spot on Japan’s Oricon chart with his new album, the music site announced Thursday.

His second studio album, “Still,” came in second on the Oricon Daily Albums chart on the day of its release, Wednesday, selling 23,047 records.

The 12-track album includes the title track and the singles “Tonight” and “Hot Sun.”

The achievement is nothing new to the idol-turned-actor, who previously topped the Orion Weekly Singles chart with his fourth solo EP, “Hot Sun,” released last June.

His steady popularity in Japan means that his recent assault conviction did not deal a blow to his career there. He was slapped with a fine for assaulting his former girlfriend in May 2014.

Meanwhile, Kim began his Japan tour -- “Kim Hyun Joong Japan Tour 2014-Gemini” -- on Jan. 27., holding 12 shows in 10 major Japanese cities.
