Korean actor Namgoong Min will star in a Chinese film for the first time, his agency 935 Entertainment said Wednesday.

The movie is titled “Yuse Yuren,” a remake of the Chinese novel that gained popularity in the nation.

The 37-year-old star, who recently played a role in the SBS drama “The Girl Who Sees Smells,” will take the lead role in the Chinese film as an intelligent and practical man striving for success.

Namgoong Min will stay in China until early September to join the film production.

“Yuse Yuren” is slated to open across China next year.
