“Unicorn is a beautiful, legendary animal with a horn protruding from its forehead,” an official from the label was quoted as saying in the report. “The name refers to the group’s goal to heal people with music, just like a unicorn horn is said to have the power of therapy.”

The newest girl group will drop an EP on Sept. 3 and kick off its music career.

Meanwhile, the group was revealed to the public for the first time on Monday at 10 a.m. when it was featured on the Web drama “I Am a Girl Group” via Naver’s TV Cast. The five-episode sitcom series revolves around various topics concerning K-pop idols, such as dating and dieting.
