Miljenko Matijevic, frontman of the the American rock band Steelheart gave an unbelievable performance on the Korean music program “King of Mask Singer” on Sunday evening.

Matijevic appeared on stage wearing a unique mask as singers are required to hire their identities on the show to ensure fair competition.

On the first stage, Matijevic competed with rock band Boohwal’s lead vocal Kim Dong-myeong. They sang Radiohead’s “Creep” together. Afterwards, he sang Boohwal’s “Rain and Your Story” perfectly, leaving viewers puzzled about his identity.

Finally, on the third stage, Matijevic performed a popular Korean song, “Confession.” Even the celebrity judges did not manage to guess who he was due to his flawless Korean pronunciation and moving performance. He eventually lost the competition to Hani from the Korean girl group EXID.

The crowd was shocked when he finally removed his mask.

To thank the audience, Matijevic sang the hit “She’s gone” and everyone sang along.

“I’ve practiced about four months for this. I feel so loved in Korea and that’s why I love being here,” he commented.
