“My Hero,” the 21st song to be introduced on S.M. Entertainment’s digital music channel Station, is set to be released at midnight on Thursday, the agency announced.

The intention of the song is to cheer on the Korean national team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. To support the competitors, K-pop singers, producers, pianists and former members of the national team participated in the effort.

“My Hero” was written and composed by Korea’s top songwriter and producer Cho Yeong-su, with former member of the national swim team Han Soo-ji contributing lyrics.

Leeteuk of Super Junior, Suho of EXO and rookie singer Kassy are accompanied on the piano by Moon Jung-jae. In addition, 23 former members of the national team sang along, including wrestler Shim Kwon-ho, who won gold medals at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the 2000 Sydney Olympics; gymnast Yeo Hong-chul, who competed in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics; and Lee Eun-chul who won a gold medal in the rifle prone event at the1992 Barcelona Olympic.

Part of the proceeds from the track will be donated to the Korean Association of National Team Members, which includes current and former national team competitors.

S.M. Entertainment’s digital music channel Station aims to release a new track each week in collaboration with various artists, producers and composers, as well as other labels.
