Tzuyu, a Taiwanese member of K- pop group TWICE, was on the KBS show “Happy Together” on Thursday, where she talked about her early encounters with her agency JYP Entertainment and its CEO Park Jin-young.

Tzuyu said that Park had visited a dance academy where she was attending in 2012 and recruited her after watching a clip of Tzuyu dancing with other students. She said that she was startled to see the celebrity Park in person.

Tzuyu also recounted the first time she met another member of TWICE Jihyo.

Jihyo had perviously said on the TV program, “I thought Tzuyu was very pretty from the first time I saw her. So I meant to compliment her in Mandarin, ‘You are very pretty.’ But my Mandarin wasn’t good, so I ended up saying, ‘Am I pretty?’”

Tzuyu said that she did not know at the time that it had been a mistake.
