After making inroads in the US for the past few months, Monsta X has successfully wrapped up its first performance for the US “Jingle Ball” tour in Los Angeles.

Representing the act, Starship Entertainment said Sunday that the K-pop act participated in the LA leg of the US tour, an annual year-end concert hosted by US radio station KISS FM’s iHeart Radio at The Forum on Nov. 30 in California.

Other headliners at the star-studded event included global stars like Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa, Cardi B and Camila Cabello.

The high-profile music event marked a significant moment for Monsta X’s stateside promotions, as the seven-piece band became the first Korean group to perform on the “Jingle Ball” tour.

The act kicked off its set with its hit “Shoot Out,” shouting out, “I know you guys can feel a little awkward about K-pop. … We are going to make this K-popping right now. Are you ready to turn up?”

Amid ear-splitting screams from fans, Monsta X showcased three of its hits, including “DRAMARAMA” and “Be Quiet.”

After the show, Shownu expressed his excitement through his agency, saying, “We are very glad to have finished our first set of the tour. We had felt nervous at first, but we could have done the show successfully thanks to passionate cheers of Monbebes and fans in the US.”

“We are also learning a lot from other world stars’ performances. We will do our best for the rest of the tour.”

The “Jingle Ball” tour will take Monsta X to six US cities through Friday, including San Francisco, Minneapolis, Boston and New York.

The band finished its second world tour, “2018 Monsta X World Tour The Connect,” in August, visiting 20 cities in Europe, Asia and America.

It has also been well-received by US media, having appeared on a number of American TV and media programs, including the “Good Day New York” morning show in July.
