MBC released a previously undisclosed video from BTS member J-Hope’s special appearance on its survival audition program “Under 19” on Thursday.

On the Jan. 5 episode, J-Hope met a group of 7 contenders practicing for a cover of the K-pop act’s global hit “Fake Love.”

In the newly-disclosed clip, J-Hope doles out gifts -- packets of rice cakes -- and signs sweatshirts that the contesters are wearing on their request.

Contestants, after J-Hope left the room, sat around and had a moment to digest what just happened.

“Let’s not sleep and just practice so that we don’t disappoint him,” Shin Ye-chan, one of the contesters, said.

Jeon Do-yum said he almost cried.

“When in middle school, I went to a BTS concert. I was like 100 meters from the stage but I cried. Today, (I was like) 1 meters from him?” he said.

N. Flying’s hilarious high notes battle

K-pop boy group N. Flying battled it out to determine who could sing (or screech) the highest on a V Live broadcast on Thursday.

In a 40-minute livestream aired on the act’s official V channel, the four bandmates sang a verse from their latest single “Rooftop.”

The rule was to sing it on a note higher from the previous person.

After several rounds of dolphin calling, the one who got eliminated first was J-Don, the band’s leader. J-Don composed the song and wrote its lyrics.

Bandmates also waged a lower notes battle and this time Jaehyun lost.

J-Don and Jaehyun had to fulfill a request from fans as a penalty which was to sing on the rooftop of their label FNC Entertainment’s building.

And the duo did just that on another livestream that soon followed.

Chung Ha’s heartfelt thank you to fans

Chung Ha’s sincere and earnest thank you broadcast on V after her first music show win since her comeback was among Thursday’s V Pick videos chosen by V Live editors.

The singer aired a 14-minute broadcast on the livestreaming platform while riding home after shooting MBC TV’s weekly music chart program, “Show Champion.”

It was her first time on the show since “Gotta Go” was released on Jan. 2, but to her own surprise, she clinched the No. 1 spot with the song.

“I have nothing else to say but thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much,” the singer said repeatedly. “I really didn’t expect to win.”

Many of her staff, including her two mangers, cried, she revealed.
