Ricky from boy band Teentop appeared on V Live on Tuesday, a day before his birthday, as he was rehearsing for a new musical.

“I’m here to rehearse. I also thank you for the birthday wishes,” he said from the cafe where he was working.

“There are so many people around me here. So please understand, I can’t speak too loud.”

“A Love Story That Can Be Suffered Anyway” is the unofficial title of a Japanese adaptation of a Korean musical that opens in Japan on March 8 and runs through March 17. Ricky will play the role of Masao.

“I have to memorize all the Japanese dialogue. It blows my mind,” he said.

“I visit this cafe a lot these days to study Japanese. Rehearsals end around 9 p.m., and after showering I come here to study.

“I really recommend this musical. It is a love story. You will like it,” he added.
