Actress Kim Yoo-jung on Sunday endorsed the massive protest in Seoul calling for President Park Geun-hye’s resignation over the scandal involving her confidante Choi Soon-sil.The 17-year-old Kim promoted a “lights off” campaign via her Instagram account, encouraging people to turn off the lights for three minutes starting 7 p.m. on Saturday.

“For those staying at home, please join the lights-off campaign,” Kim wrote along with a picture of a black square.The campaign was titled “The World of Darkness.” It was meant to symbolize the dark times in the wake of the scandal, which has left the nation in a state of political crisis.

Meanwhile, Kim is set to appear in the upcoming comedy film “Because I Love You.” By Son Ji-hyoung ()
