FNC Entertainment’s CEO Han Sung-ho jokingly spoke on talk show “Radio Star” on Wednesday that he could consider Jung Yong-hwa as his successor.

In the TV show aired by MBC in which he participated as a guest, Han mentioned two of the best-performing groups under his label. “FTISLAND that made the FNC Entertainment’s existence possible, and CNBLUE which is popular overseas.”

When asked about his successor in theory, between FTISLAND’s Lee Hong-gi and CNBLUE’s Jung Yong-hwa, Han picked Jung.

“Jung Yong-hwa has never caused any trouble, and he’s good at office politics. He looks after the trainees even when he doesn’t have any schedule at the company.”

Jung, who was also present at the show as a guest speaker, was evidently excited at the CEO’s remark and joked if this could be considered as a verbal contract.

FNC Entertainment later released an official statement: “To CEO Han Sung-ho, both Lee Hong-gi and Jung Yong-hwa are precious musicians. A show is only a show. Bite all 10 fingers, and there’s not one finger that doesn’t hurt. We hope there are no misunderstandings.”
