Singer-songwriter IU filed a complaint against cyberbullies at a Gangnam police station Tuesday, a local tabloid newspaper reported Thursday. “We have filed a suit against the rumormongers and those who wrote malicious comments on her social media pages,” said a representative from the singer’s agency, Loen Tree, in an interview with the daily. The representative elaborated on the case, saying the agency has been collecting references of false rumors, smearing comments, spreading of false information and altered images as evidence for the police investigation. He added the company is poised to take stern action against such cyberbullying.Previously in 2013, IU sued a number of cyberbullies, but later withdrew the suit on the condition of 200 hours of community service for each of the accused cyberbullies. The singer, however, appears to be determined to follow through with stronger legal action this time.By Ko Ji-seon ()
