Producers of the much-anticipated “all-star” drama “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo,” which is due to air this summer, released stills of stars IU and Lee Joon-gi on Monday. Stills were uploaded on the drama’s official Facebook page, giving a sneak peak of IU looking royal in a pure white traditional garment and Lee clad in contrasting black.

The drama’s plot will mainly revolve around IU’s character Hae-soo, a 21st-century girl who time-travels to Korea’s Goryeo dynasty and stumbles upon a prince, played by Lee.

“Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” is a pre-produced series that will feature other noteworthy actors such as Kang Ha-neul, Ji Soo, Nam Joo-hyuk, and EXO member Baekhyun. The drama is scheduled to start Aug. 29 on SBS. By Jung Min-kyung ()
