Putting behind controversies surrounding bulk buying accusations, Momoland is set to kick off a fresh start with its Japanese debut.
According to recent news reports by Japanese media outlets, the K-pop band successfully hosted a private showcase for industry officials on Friday in Tokyo, Japan.

At the venue, after performing three songs -- “Freeze, “Wonderful Love” and the hit track “Bboom Bboom” -- the group announced its plan to debut in Japan on June 13. The band will also host multiple events for local fans, starting with fan meetings from June 15 to 17.

The nine-piece girl group was recently caught in a controversy of bulk buying its own album “Great.” The band’s management agency, Duble Kick Company, denied the accusations, saying that the recent sharp increase in sales originated from Japanese promotional activities.
