Beomgyu and Huening Kai of Tomorrow X Together asked fans how they liked the teaser trailers for “Blue Hour,” the main track from their upcoming EP.

Both singers had released individual videos and Huening Kai complimented Beomgyu’s, saying it had been shot beautifully.

“There really was a huge tree, and I was literally holding on to it high on top. Although I’m not afraid of heights, I was quite scared,” admitted Beomgyu.

Huening Kai, on the other hand, had it easy since all he had to do was strike different poses while standing in a field. The Ferris wheel had been added with special effects, he told viewers.

Some fans even combined music from the two trailers and were trying to figure out the song. But the real song will be slightly different, they hinted.

IZ*ONE‘ Chaeyeon hosts marathon chat with fans

Chaeyeon of IZ*ONE talked to fans on Naver’s V Live for almost 3 1/2 hours.

“I’m in my room. It has become a place for V Live and I’m proud,” she said with a giggle.

She had been going through the gifts she’d received and had come across a hard, black case. At first she thought it was for CDs and was feeling nostalgic, she said. But when she opened it, she found a palm-sized musical instrument called a kalimba.

“It’s been a long time since I played an instrument and it will take me time to remember the notes. But I’ll take the challenge!” she announced. She was ready to hit the tiny keyboard with a small hammer-like tool but was disappointed when some viewers told her that it was for tuning the instrument.

The performer also thanked everyone for liking her dance cover video. It had amassed 1.74 million views and she promised that when the number reached 2 million, she’d share visual content including scenes from rehearsals and birthday parties.

EXO’s Chen releases teaser for “Hello”

EXO’s Chen hailed his return as a soloist with a teaser trailer for his new single “Hello.”

In the 23-second video, he walks through a dimly lit room where a book and a couple of letters have been left on a table. He sits down on a sofa and says “Hello” to a moody Brit pop melody. The theme of the song, according to the company, is a letter and the lyrics wish the other person well.

The vocalist is coming out with new music after taking a year off during which he got married, becoming the first of the bandmates to do so, and had a daughter.

The single will be unveiled Oct. 15.

Blackpink‘s 1st album unboxed: Kpop Herald

Kpop Herald reporters unboxed Blackpink’s first full-length album, “The Album,” touted as one of the most anticipated of this year.

It came out Oct. 2 and landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 right away, making K-pop girl group history. It is also the highest-charting album by a female act since Danity Kane’s “Welcome to the Dollhouse” in 2008. The video garnered over 61 million views within 24 hours after its release and became the sixth-most-viewed music video in YouTube’s history.

The bandmates have been portrayed as fighters because of their signature hip-hop-based music. But in this album, they showed a feminine, vulnerable side with the country-folk “Lovesick Girls,” the reporters said.

Most of the songs are in English, reflecting the band’s global presence. And the fact that Jisoo and Jennie participated in writing the lyrics for the main track also demonstrates that they are maturing as musicians, the reporters said.
