The bandmates of Stray Kids expressed their gratitude after winning an award from the Fact Music Awards held Saturday.

With dramatic tapping on the table, they brought out the trophy for “Global Hottest.”

“The performance was quite cool, wasn’t it?” said Changbin, touching the silver prize. The band chuckled at news headlines that described their choreography that incorporated low dining tables. They did not expect to see real food on the tables, they told viewers, adding that the food was not fake.

“We wanted to thank you,” said Lee Know, “but we’re afraid we have to leave soon,” with another scheduled soon after.

Meanwhile, Seungmin said that he personally loved the costume inspired by hanbok, or traditional Korean clothes, more specifically dopo -- the overcoat worn by Confucian scholars.

“Some fans said that I looked like an emperor penguin, though,” muttered Changbin.

The eight-piece act was happy with not only the costumes but also the overall setting that had traditional elements. Han also boasted that the deep and commanding voice that signaled the opening of the performance was his.

IZ*ONE’s Chaewon checks in after online event

Kim Chaewon of IZ*ONE went live from her room past midnight.

She nibbled at a cookie she took from the online fan meeting event and when a fan asked about the most memorable moment, she giggled and talked about how one fan sang to her throughout the given time without speaking a word.

“It was the first time a fan sang for me,” she smiled, “and the fan promised to practice for another song.”

Choi Yena stayed out of the camera and was envious of Kim’s happy experience. When viewers asked Kim if she has been scratching her arm in her sleep, she assured them she has not. Choi, however, protested and said she still does it a lot -- “just looking at her makes me itch!”

As proof, Choi showed a picture from her smartphone fighting against Kim, and the two giggled as the former wondered if the phone showed a reflection of her bare face when she turned it off. After a second, Choi realized it did, albeit briefly, and the two shrieked in unison.

Shinee’s Onew celebrates birthday

Onew of Shinee invited fans over to a sleepover-themed birthday party via Naver’s V Live.

Sitting in a tent wearing pajamas, he sang “Happy Birthday” to himself and gently refused a cake from the company ?- “I’ll eat this later” -- confiding that he is planning to make one himself and the proper cake would make him feel inferior.

“First, I’ll show the ceramic pieces I made as I mentioned before. I’ll send this out to you with a raffle,” he said, unwrapping three pieces he had finished. He was really excited about the first, a rounded mug, and joked that he should keep it for himself.

After picking three recipients, the birthday boy began making a rabbit-shaped cake. He had the base cake ready lest viewers get tired waiting for it to cool. On the first layer of the cake, he carefully added pink filling.

“My mom recently had a birthday and I made one for her … a carrot cake,” he told fans.

Ateez celebrates Christmas early

The bandmates of Ateez decorated a Christmas tree dressed up in red capes and jackets.

Describing themselves as cute elves, they showed a tree waiting behind them. Yeosang said he has never done a tree decoration and Wooyoung reminded him that they had as trainees, making everyone chuckle at the memory.

Yoonho and Seonghwa recalled how they bedecked trees and homes when they were children.

“My dad used to bring an item every day to adorn the house when it turned December,” said Seonghwa. His father even strung lights on a real tree at their home, he added in reply to Wooyoung’s question.

“Each of us will write down a message and add a signature here,” explained Yoonho, picking up a golden sphere ornament the size of an orange.

“This reminds me of signing balls at our stand-alone concert,” said Yoonho, as everyone started talking about the live show, how they autographed balls from early in the morning and how well they could see the audience.
